Abstract: The PCIMA Surge approach has been applied in Mali since 2017. It was implemented in the Kayes health district between September 2018 and January 2019 in 30 health centers and the csréf ureni. The objective of the study was to describe the process of setting up PCIMA Surge in the 30 health centers by characterizing the different activities (what has been done, lessons learned, what has happened). The whole process (the orientation workshops, training of service providers, setting up in health centers, formalization of commitments) was described with very instructive feedback. The success and sustainability of the PCIMA Surge depends on the success of the implementation process, which is why no effort should be spared for this objective. |
