Abstract: This article reviews existing literature on Black women with breast cancer and examines anger as a possible risk factor for breast cancer. It is not known whether anger is a risk factor for breast cancer based on patients' personal experiences, patients receiving medical treatments, or medical outcomes. Data on this intersection are limited. I aim to encourage deeper dialogue and expand understanding of this topic. Thomas et al. (2000) addressed unresolved anger in breast cancer patients, providing a foundation for further research. I use a systematic approach to discuss African American women and breast cancer, covering Background, Importance, Research Goals, Study Design, Treatments to Limit Cancer Cell Development, Apoptosis, COX-2 Enzyme, Melatonin, Discussion, Implications, and Conclusion.
